Cute Crochet Hair Bow

Hello once again my wee internet family! I thought I would bring you a rather simple pattern today. It is that easy it could be worked up with your eyes tightly shut. No kidding! It's a cute hair bow that can be whipped up in a matter of minutes.

I'm so in love with how these little cuties turned out. The colour choices are endless. Choose colours according to the seasons, your mood, or as a matching accessory to an outfit.

Anyhoo, the bows I made were on the bigger side. I made a chain of 30 using a 5mm crochet hook and worsted weight yarn.

I then made a slip stitch into the very first chain I made creating a loop.

Ch 2 and double crochet into the next stitch. Double crochet to the end of the row. Do not join with a slip stitch at the end of the round. You will be working in continuous rounds.

Make a double crochet into the next stitch and continue all the way around in double crochet.

Keep going in this pattern until you have a total of 5-6 rounds. To make the bow wider just make a few more rounds!

At the end of your last round make a slip stitch into the next stitch. Fasten off and weave in all your ends Then put to one side while you make a start on the middle part of the bow.

Bow Cincher:

Chain 5

Double crochet into the 3rd chain from the hook. Double crochet across to end. You should now have 3 stitches.

Ch 2 and double crochet to end.

Repeat last row until you have a total of 6-7 rows.

Fasten off and weave in all the ends.

Grab the main bow part that you made earlier and cinch it with your fingers towards the middle. I like to make a small stitch here with a needle and some yarn to keep it in place.
Wrap the middle part of the bow with the cincher and sew closed.

Now all you have to do is glue any sort of clip to the back of the bow. I like to use alligator clips for my hair bows.

Solid colour bows, striped bows...the choices are literally endless. Why not try making mini bows. All you have to do is chain less at the beginning. The same goes for a larger bow...just add more chains!

Hope you all enjoyed this pattern.
Lots of love
Carrie xx
